I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain — Frank Herbert: Dune Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ […] We are all meant to shine, as children do. […] And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. — Marianne Williamson: A return to Love We choose to go to the Moon. We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too. — John Fitzgerald Kennedy To think that the affairs of this life always remain in the same state is a vain presumption; indeed they all seem to be perpetually changing and moving in a circular course. Spring is followed by summer, summer by autumn, and autumn by winter, which is again followed by spring, and so time continues its everlasting round. But the life of man is ever racing to its end, swifter than time itself, without hope of renewal, unless in the next that is limitless and infinite. — Cervantes: Don Quixote I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation. War is hell. — William Tecumseh Sherman

A scorched earth and black parade Sad moments down in the shade A world full of dust and fallen angels I fell in hate, irradiate The enemy won’t hesitate Weakling soldiers behind the curtains Blindness during wartime Mist’s rising up and breaks the soul Blindness during wartime Your mind is far beyond control Blindness during wartime Visions blur under the whiteout And everyone will see with the eyes of the blind The work is done, the world in pain Let your hatred out in the rain This is the playground for the madmen Left alone out in the field The mind from inside is sealed Frenzy has slipped out of the plan Blindness during wartime Mist’s rising up and breaks the soul Blindness during wartime Your mind is far beyond control Blindness during wartime Visions blur under the whiteout And everyone will see with the eyes of the blind War is on the lowest shelf of humanity as a final solution to someone’s frustration or insanity Nothing left but the desert Rotten flowers, charcoal grey All colours blended into madness At the edge of living, last black parade Enchanted souls cast big crusade It left the freak and the sadness Blindness during wartime Mist’s rising up and breaks the soul Blindness during wartime Your mind is far beyond control Blindness during wartime Visions blur under the whiteout And everyone will see with the eyes of the blind

Déjamos conocer a las madres de los hijos e hijas desaparecidos I was born into the unknown I was born into the hell A mother’s been felt like a stranger Always inside my soul’s well It began with Guernica Then the ‘red gene’ took its toll Another dull empty morning Feeding frenzy has reached the goal As the tide turns dark The Church cared to erase the child As the tide turns dark My nightmares have grown to wild Search for the truth helped ease the pain Long lines of sad mothers in my eyes I have to know them after so many years I need to bond stronger the ties They buried the past Someone would unbury their future It will open up many painful wounds Washing over the beautiful picture As the tide turns dark Who’ll bring back all those years As the tide turns dark Who will wipe out the shade of fears Déjamos conocer a las madres de los hijos e hijas desaparecidos Déjamos seguir a los muertos vivientes Déjamos soñar estar junto a ellos Déjamos estar en paz con el pasado (Let us know the mothers of disappeared sons and daughters Let us follow the living dead Let us dream to be together with them Let us be in peace with the past) As the tide turns light I found her so many miles away As the tide turns familiar And yet nothing left to say Let us know the mothers of disappeared sons and daughters

You showed me tales about long winters The blood on the snow has drawn some image of my ghost Yesterday’s gone forever into nothingness Father, how could you say it was only love? You said you chased away your demons How come they keep bashing at my door? It’s just the mind that played tricks with you through and through And that’s why the hell is closer to you From the realm of the fathers From the realm of the hate It’s better to be far away It’s better to escape In the realm of the fathers In the realm of the gun Big black eyes in the shadows Cover the ephemeral sun One morning I won’t be here anymore Just solitude and pain will welcome you at the door And silence wails from your room to the hall Father, how could you call it love at all? From the realm of the fathers From the realm of the hate It’s better to be far away It’s better to escape In the realm of the fathers In the realm of the gun Big black eyes in the shadows Cover the neverending sun How does it feel dancing on my gravestone? How does it feel falling into the deep? You just wanted to be over the skies Bluntness descends upon your ravishing eyes Father is this the love you showed me on cold days? From the realm of the fathers From the realm of the hate It’s better to be far away It’s better to escape In the realm of the fathers In the realm of the gun Big black eyes in the shadows Cover the neverending sun I remember sleepless nights and blackened sky Great divide and the falling rise The blunt objections, quick beat of the heart The morning sickness, feeling torn apart Mystical senselessness, the fat touch of dirty hands And the hopeless passing of the years In the realm of the fathers In the realm of the gun Big black eyes in the shadows Cover the neverending sun

We all believed in this miracle A young man was falling from so high He told us we could recieve some salvation How come we didn’t even want to try? Four days he’s been waiting for a miracle He said “I am the resurrection and the life” But he was just as immortal as anybody else On the last day he was crucified Rise up dead man, rise into your world of ordinary lies Dark secret that you knew is lost and hasn’t made you wise Your flame has gone you stand alone in the bleeding rain I hope the world you created won’t come back again And then all things became so brilliant He had outshone every beam of light In God’s glory he turned into a different one At last he gave up all the fight Rise up dead man, rise into your world of ordinary sound Dark secret that you knew is lost and never can be found Your flame has gone you stand alone in the bleeding rain I hope the world you created won’t come back again Rise up dead man, rise into your world of ordinary lies As you watch from the ruins a new life will arise The old one dies it will blaze forever on the edge of night At least you can say it’s gonna burn shining bright

Numbness surrounds me Strange kind of voices by my head I’ve never heard them before I’m lying on the floor of This town of madness Nightfall pulls me deep Spins around and makes me swoon I feel I’ll be on the other side The darker half of the Moon Hold me drag me out of here The world seems so far away And I don’t belong here yet today Wake me I wanna live forever I must be on the wrong side of the rainbow I am slowly out of this place I told them yesterday I’d soon be home again ‘Cause promises for the keepers and dreams are for the sleepers I just left my photograph on the mantlepiece My traces are washed away by the rain And I am far out in the space Hold me drag me out of here The world seems so far away And I don’t belong here yet today Wake me I wanna live forever I must be on the wrong side of the rainbow I am slowly out of this place, out of this world

Beyond the reason, under the light of the Moon There’s a hushed world waiting to be painted red in a war room Purity stands alone beneath the ripped open sky Revealed secrets aging by the passing of the time Liquid morning, a silent drop into the Arms of the falling empire of visions and wisdoms Weakened fortress fighting in the flood of crime And wants to find a way out of the night to the daytime I feel the flow of your lifeblood I want to feel the warmth of the Sun I shake off the nightfall I want to shake off what has been done Burning orange colours Carved into the circles of the Sun spinning round and round and round… Long forgotten moments fade Like a tired man who lifts the weight for everyone Empty spaces filled with worn memories of youth An open eye draws morbid picture of the naked truth Sound of freedom is calling to the great wide open And the sunshine spreads across the endless green land I feel the flow of your lifeblood I can feel the warmth of the Sun I want to shake off the shadows I could shake off what has been done When the past has gone Then the past is brighter than ever When tomorrow comes It will stay in our mind forever

The evening colours up the sky Even the clouds lose their whiter shade of pale The quiet weaves the net around us And it mutely echoes through the peaceful vale And we see the sleeping sunset Hides all the feelings that went astray And it calls for tomorrow Erasing all the grey A piece of summer still around The green the yellow to remember every single day The road is full of merry ones who found the meaning of life Through our empty way And we see the sleeping sunset Glowing to end the days And it calls for tomorrow Forgetting all the yesterdays

about

Hello everyone!

So this day has come at last!

Today the album will be out on digital platforms, so it is time to scribble down some thoughts about the album to be able to put the songs into context.

Where to start? The next sentence will tell everything about the album, but I expand this sentence into a broader landscape.
Violence is the utmost insanity of somebody's unbridled soul dissolving into the pareidolia of blood.
It can be very diverse. The physical, the mental, the silent whisper, the loud cry, the muted scream, the underground struggle with solitude feelings. It can happen in a crowd, a lonely room or at the most ancient place: the battlefield.
This album is musically an eclectic one, the lyrics bring the real cohesion. I think it can be called a concept album like its predecessor ‘Entering Kingdom Come’.

The track list of the album as follows:
1. The Maelstrom of All Beautiful Visions 2:37
2. Blindness During Wartime 8:15
3. As the Tide Turns Dark 7:47
4. Realm of Fathers 8:26
5. The Raising of Lazarus 5:27
6. C19 4:43
7. Stillwater 1:51
8. Lifeblood 7:24
9. Sleeping Sunset 5:19

The first song ‘The Maelstrom of All Beautiful Visions’ collects a couple of interesting thoughts about our world in a mix that cannot be understood as in our lifetime.

‘Blindness During Wartime’ leads to the battlefield, the inscrutable madness that floats above it, and the fierce killings that twist every human soul and mind on the ground.

As the ‘Tide Turned Dark’ is a strange story of a 20th-century genocide in Spain. I read an article in the New York Times about the ‘kidnapped’ children from their parents who believed their sons and daughter to be dead and the children were moved to foster parents who were loyal to the Franco regime. I tried to imagine the horrible things that the parents went through to learn that their newborn child had died and yet after a long time they are still alive. The article is still up on the newspaper’s page, everybody can find it there. And almost forgot: introducing an angelic voice from Argentina: Estefania Silvera.

‘Realm of Fathers’ may be the most brutal violence in our society: child abuse. It never can be accepted, never can be justified and have to defy it. A painful cry from the aspect of a child.

We are living in a world of fake news empires. ‘The Raising of Lazarus’ tries to widen its scope to depict it through one of the most known tales from the Bible. The resurrected dead is as fake as our contemporary world and the villain newsmakers.

The Covid pandemic is over. ‘C19’ commemorates the victims of the disease with a helpless cry for help. Someone who wants to grab Life and don’t want to let it go pass them.

‘Stillwater’ is a fine instrumental piece improvised on a grey autumn while the gentle rain had fallen down on the ground full of leaves outside the window.

‘Lifeblood’ is about the new beginning. Counting all the wrong past revelations and mistakes and pushed into the abyss where real lifeblood is dwelling inside us but we cannot pull out to show the real ourselves. We have a long way to learn living and loving.

‘Sleeping Sunset’ is the new beginning. As the sunset takes away the tired day and prepares the body and the soul for the new one which can bring peace and renewal. It can be fresh, full of excitement, and an opportunity to start again with a blank sheet.
